In keeping with the water theme for the gallery, I've gotten another Koi paper painting piece done. Once again, I'm posting the "before" & "after" pics. It's such a dramatic difference that I thought you'd enjoy seeing both.
This koi is beautiful. So you do a watercolor first so you have a basic idea of color flow I take it? That part is pretty on it's own but my gosh when you do the papers it just glows!
Thank gals. Yes renee, a very basic underpainting is to give me sort of a color road map for the papers. Of course it sometimes changes as I go along...but that's half the fun!
I am a full time artist who loves to experiment and enjoy teaching what I've learned as well. I also LOVE to travel. I think my dream job would be to travel to places near & far just to do art!!!
