little pieces

Always a good feeling to be able to get some little pieces of are into my schedule now and then. These two little postcards were for a private site holding a challenge trade off at the end of the week. Just managed to get into them. The read pepper is a watercolor done for the "paint" postcard and the zettie gal is for a "you pick it" zettie theme postcard needing to be done in at least three media. Whew! Felt good to get a couple in :)

Another challenge

Yep....week 4 of the postcard challenge, and as it turns out....the final week. Sadly, just as I was enjoying this, it's going to end early. Oh well....may have to try doing more on my own. Yep....I know the images in here may look a bit strange (hey, I didn't pick them..lol) but I love the fun way these things turn out. Almost a crazy childrens book quality to them. OK...so maybe I had some off the wall books as a kid!! :) Anyway....here it is!

Postcard Challenge

Well......although I don't really look at myself as really being very good at collage...I decided to take part in the weekly challenge at Mail Art World. I figured that if nothing else, it would give me a reason for more practice.
Once a week a sheet of images is emailed to everyone and you have to use at least half of the images in your postcard....more if possible.
I didn't feel brave enough to give it a shot the first week, but by this week, the second round, I went for it. This is my end result. I used at least a piece of every image except for one!! Yay for me. I actually think this came out pretty well. Makes me feel like there's hope for me and collage yet!
